Recently, Poland and Croatia urgently reported to the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) that bluetongue disease has occurred in Dolno? L? Skie Province of Poland, Vara? Dinska County, Sisacko Moslavacka County, and Istarska County of Croatia. In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, protect the safety of animal husbandry and biosecurity in China, and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Quarantine of Animals and Plants for Entry and Exit, and its implementing regulations, the following announcement is hereby made:

1、 It is prohibited to directly or indirectly import ruminant animals and their related products from Poland and Croatia (products derived from unprocessed ruminant animals or products that may still spread diseases despite processing).

2、 Prohibited from sending or carrying ruminant animals and their related products from Poland and Croatia into the country. Once discovered, it will be returned or destroyed.

3、 Animal and plant waste, swill, and other materials unloaded from inbound ships, aircraft, railways, and other transportation vehicles from Poland and Croatia must be treated for pest control under the supervision of customs and must not be discarded without authorization.

4、 Ruminant animals and related products from Poland and Croatia intercepted by border inspection and other departments for illegal entry shall be destroyed under the supervision of customs.

5、 Anyone who violates the above regulations shall be dealt with by the customs in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine, and their implementing regulations.

6、 Customs at all levels, as well as agricultural and rural departments at all levels, should closely cooperate and carry out quarantine, epidemic prevention, and supervision work in accordance with relevant regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine, and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Animal Epidemic Prevention.

This announcement shall come into effect from the date of its publication.
